Job Details

We are seeking an entry level Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to assist in the assembly and troubleshooting of satellite products. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology. The role requires a technician who can interpret blueprints, understand PCB electronics and ensure the highest quality of work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Location: Goleta, CA

Responsibilities:

1. Assemble, install, and troubleshoot satellite systems and components following blueprints and schematics.
2. Build electro-mechanical assemblies through bonding, staking, torqueing, and wire routing.
3. Conduct inspections of assembly and installation operations to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
4. Document assembly and test procedures to ensure production activities are traceable and retrievable.
5. Ensure compliance with AS9100, IPC, and NASA standards in all activities.
6. Participate in continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing processes.
7. Assist in training of technicians and providing guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

1. 0-1 years of experience in a hands on manufacturing position (internship experience is acceptable).
2. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
3. Familiarity with AS9100, IPC, and NASA standards.
4. Strong electro-mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
