Preferred Education:
Formal education is not a strict requirement.
IT experience will trump education for this position.
Required Skills:
Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn.
Practical IT experience (preferred over formal education).
Troubleshooting skills for IT systems and networks.
Basic networking knowledge, including wireless networking.
Ability to perform root-cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with manufacturing IT systems (e.g., MDOS, shop floor IT) is a plus.
Required Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve networking, MDOS, and shop floor IT systems issues
Provide triage support for shop floor IT issues to minimize downtime
Support and maintain computers, handheld devices, and tablets used in the manufacturing environment
Ensure devices function correctly and are up-to-date with software and security patches
Monitor and maintain wireless networks to ensure reliable connectivity
Troubleshoot and resolve wireless network issues
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on IT systems and networks
Monitor system performance and accuracy
Facilitate new employee technology setup, including computer setup, delivery, and system access
Resolve end-user issues and perform authorized changes and upgrades to existing systems
Perform root-cause analysis to identify and resolve system issues
Document issues and resolutions for future reference
Work closely with the site lead to prioritize and complete tasks designated via an Answers queue
Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless IT operations
