Facility Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for performing a wide range of facility maintenance and grounds keeping tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of our facilities and surroundings. All work will be performed in accordance with applicable guidelines, Company safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of industrial plants, buildings, and landscape areas to identify maintenance needs
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficiency
• Execute timely repairs and troubleshoot issues related to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems
• Mow lawns, trim shrubs, and maintain flower beds to keep the landscape looking clean and well-maintained
• Remove weeds, debris, and litter from outdoor areas to enhance the appearance of the facilities
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules
• Prepare reports on maintenance tasks, equipment status, and landscape conditions as required
• Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment and reorder as needed
• Operate and maintain a variety of maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery safely
• Keep tools and equipment clean, well-maintained, and properly stored
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment; observe all safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and safely use equipment
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness
• Adherence to all OSHA and HSE regulations, Company safety guidelines, and industry standards
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), desired but not required
• Proven experience as a maintenance worker in industrial, commercial, or facility management settings
• Familiarity with landscaping and groundskeeping practices
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
  
  

Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities

• Knowledge of maintenance techniques, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Proficiency in using maintenance tools, equipment, and landscaping machinery
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and customers
• Organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Detail orientated with the ability to solve problems
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions heat, cold, etc.
• Demonstrate the ability to safely operate equipment
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend associated documents
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to maintain awareness and recognize safety hazards
• Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Physical stamina and flexibility to work in various positions and environments
