Location: Remote (Candidate must be a Colorado State resident)
Duration: 03/31/2025 - 12/31/2025
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to support enterprise-level Linux systems and EMC storage solutions in a high-performance computing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux system administration, networking, and virtualization technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform system administration tasks on large-scale Linux systems.
- Install and maintain operating system software and support utilities.
- Manage EMC VNX SAN and Avamar/Data Domain backup solutions.
- Administer Linux servers in an enterprise environment.
- Ensure Linux process accounting, security software, and script programming are properly maintained.
- Support patching and building Linux kernels.
- Deploy and manage Red Hat Linux environments.
- Work with virtualization tools such as VMware.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues using TCP/IP.
- Utilize Nagios or similar monitoring tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
1-2 years of experience in:
- Working with Linux servers in an enterprise setting.
- Installation and maintenance of operating system software.
- Managing EMC storage and backup solutions.
Preferred Experience:
- Red Hat Linux Engineer Certification (RHCE).
- Experience with large-scale Red Hat Linux environments.
- Proficiency with VMware, Avamar/Data Domain, and Nagios.
