Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to support enterprise-level Linux systems and EMC storage solutions in a high-performance computing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux system administration, networking, and virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform system administration tasks on large-scale Linux systems.
  • Install and maintain operating system software and support utilities.
  • Manage EMC VNX SAN and Avamar/Data Domain backup solutions.
  • Administer Linux servers in an enterprise environment.
  • Ensure Linux process accounting, security software, and script programming are properly maintained.
  • Support patching and building Linux kernels.
  • Deploy and manage Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Work with virtualization tools such as VMware.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues using TCP/IP.
  • Utilize Nagios or similar monitoring tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).

1-2 years of experience in:

  • Working with Linux servers in an enterprise setting.
  • Installation and maintenance of operating system software.
  • Managing EMC storage and backup solutions.

Preferred Experience:

  • Red Hat Linux Engineer Certification (RHCE).
  • Experience with large-scale Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Proficiency with VMware, Avamar/Data Domain, and Nagios.
