Supervisory Information Technology Specialist NF-04
- Serves as the Supervisor of the IT Branch, supervising a team of specialists performing Systems Administration and the delivery of Information Technology.
- Formulates and publishes technical guidance and standard operating procedures for IT specialists; and ensures that supplies, equipment and other materials are available.
- Provides ongoing optimization and problem solving support to minimize interruptions in customers' ability to carry out critical business activities.
- Provides advice and guidance to managers and customers on a wide variety of applications, operating systems, protocols, and equipment used in providing information technology customer support services.
- Defines organizational objectives and specific goals, plans short-range and long-range work to be accomplished, and adjusts long-range schedules, objectives, and goals in relation to the workload, personnel required, and priorities.

Qualifications
- a Master's degree with a major study (minimum of twenty-four (24) semester hours) in any of the below fields:
- computer science,
- engineering,
- information science,
- information systems management,
- mathematics,
- operations research,
- statistics,
- technology management
- possess two (2) full years (60 semester hours) of progressively higher level graduate education leading towards a masters degree with at least twenty-four (24) semester hours in one or more of the following fields:
- computer science,
- engineering,
- information science,
- information systems
- management,
- mathematics,
- operations research,
- statistics,
- technology management
- possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience in system installation and programming experience sufficient to demonstrate knowledge in the following:
- Information Technology (IT) theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods; AND
- IT policy and planning concepts and practices; AND
- interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines; AND
- methods, approaches, and practices for managing communities of interest involved in development, AND
- implementation of IT architectures, investment planning, e-government, and other IT related legislative and policy initiatives.
