Director of Risk Management & Loss Control
Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Property & Casualty Risk Control Director to their Indiana team. This person will be responsible for leading and directing the Risk Control team in driving the success/profitability of the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting underwriting and business development efforts while ensuring compliance and improving safety standards. Conduct audits and risk assessments of property and liability risk management programs for both new and existing clients. Ideal candidates will reside in Indiana. Relocation assistance will be considered with an offer package.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the overall property and liability risk management strategy for the region, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and client needs.
- Train, mentor and oversee a team of 5-10 Risk Control and Risk Management professionals.
- Direct the conduct of comprehensive risk assessments and audits of property and liability programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Analyze and interpret claims data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for potential risk. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to reduce the frequency and severity of claims.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed reports on loss data analysis and risk assessments, providing high-level recommendations for risk mitigation and loss control measures.
- Prepare detailed reports on loss data analysis, risk assessments, including recommendations for risk mitigation and loss control measures.
Requirements:
- 7 – 15+ years of experience of Property and Liability Risk Control experience with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Advanced knowledge of insurance principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with State and Federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, peers, and industry contacts.
- Professional designation such as CPCU, ARM, CRM, or similar preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary/Benefits:
- $130,000 to $160,000 annual base salary plus 15 - 25% Target Bonus
