Job Overview

We are seeking a Construction Cost Estimator II to join a construction management/cost control team. This role will be primarily responsible for handling cost estimates for a portfolio of projects in the assigned region. Position Summary

  • Coordinate resources, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Lead project responsibilities for team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual estimates independently using preliminary design documents and available information.
  • Support Project Managers in reviewing contractor change proposals, material substitutions, and value engineering solutions.
  • Maintain and update a cost database, utilizing historical project costs to inform future planning and vendor identification.
  • Assist in preparing bid packages, reviewing contractor bids, and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and relevant authorities to integrate project objectives, schedules, and budgets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in construction/project management with a focus on cost estimates for new construction, renovations, and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in utilizing cost estimation tools like RS Means.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of tools like Procore, Smartsheet, and MS Project is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within the construction industry.
