Position Summary

The Junior Designer will work amongst Studio teams to assist in developing production data

under the direct supervision of the Production Design Studio Lead. The Jr Designer will be

playing a supporting role for production designers and will be required to produce deliverables

for multiple projects at one time

Minimum Skills Or Experience Requirements

  • Experience in SolidWorks is a MUST
  • Willing to learn new details and processes.
  • Able to think about design details down to the nuts and bolts.
  • Comfortable managing time across multiple projects at once.
  • Self-starter who is excited to assist and learn from their teammates.
  • Ability to produce detailed and organized shop drawings.
  • Driven to meet tight deadlines.
  • Enjoy working in a creative and collaborative environment.
  • Passion for creating quality furniture solutions for today’s top-tier companies.

Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with fellow designers and managers to hone in on design intent.
  • Assist in creating intelligent and nimble SolidWorks models of furniture system

components and build assemblies from those components in a thoughtful and

editable manner.

  • Procure and categorize finish samples from vendors, per project.
  • Help create assembly approval drawings for client review.
  • Review client notes with team to refine designs and secure final approval for

production.

  • Specify hardware and create comprehensive part ordering lists.
  • Communicate regularly with team to collaborate on project feedback, strategy and

planning.

  • Create complete, informative installation drawings from SolidWorks assemblies.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

  • Frequent hours of standing or sitting.
  • Late hours and weekend work as required to meet project deadlines.
  • Some domestic travel.
