Systems Adminstrator

TEKsystems is seeking a contract to hire Systems Administrator who has exposure working with physical and virtual infrastructure, server applications, databases, and security administration. Responsibilities include performing analysis, implementation, support, maintenance, and monitoring of these systems. The role also involves providing project management for small to mid-size projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Three (3) years of server experience, or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Valid driver's license

Technical Experience:

• Configuring and supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Domains, Domain Schemas, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Security Policy Configurations
• Configuring, supporting, and securing Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2012, 2016, 2019) and SQL Server (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, or 2019)
• Supporting and securing virtualization technologies and configurations using VMware or Citrix
• Working with network storage (SAN, NAS, Backup, etc.)
• Supporting Microsoft Exchange

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills and exceptional customer-facing skills with a high degree of professionalism
• Logical, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information
• Initiative and ability to work independently and within a team, using independent judgment
• Ability to react quickly to a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Considerable ability to adapt, learn new technical concepts, and perform in unfamiliar environments with or without formal training
• Considerable ability to coordinate multiple tasks at once

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
