As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand our reach and accelerate adoption of our curb management solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, mission-driven team shaping the future of urban mobility.

About The Role

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of our sales efforts, playing a key role in generating new business opportunities. You’ll engage with city officials, airport officials, industry partners and other stakeholders to introduce them to Automotus’ innovative curb management solutions. This role is ideal for a motivated, entrepreneurial individual who thrives on relationship-building, strategic outreach, and driving revenue growth in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $60,000-80,000

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Outreach:

  • Identify and research prospective clients, including cities, airports, and private operators
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking events
  • Qualify inbound leads and nurture them through the sales funnel

Sales Pipeline Management:

  • Set up meetings and product demos with decision-makers and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the sales team to convert leads into long-term partners
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, meetings, and opportunities in the CRM system

Industry Engagement & Networking:

  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events to build relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging market needs

Marketing Support:

  • Develop and distribute marketing materials to prospective clients and through social media channels

Collaboration & Strategy:

  • Work closely with marketing to refine messaging and optimize outreach strategies
  • Provide feedback to product and sales teams based on client interactions and market insights

Required:

  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field (experience in GovTech, mobility, parking, transportation, or smart city technology is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and articulate value propositions
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales automation software
  • Passion for urban mobility, sustainability, and technology-driven solutions
  • Ability to travel occasionally for conferences, client meetings, and industry events
