Job Description
- 5 years of experience as a Support Engineer for Omnissa/VMware
- Support engineer Omnissa applications focused
- Responsible for supporting the Horizon build teams and ensuring data flow after configuration
- Experience troubleshooting the full Omnissa suite, including Horizon, Dynamic Environment Manager, App Volumes, and Unified Access Gateway (UAGS)
- The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about the Omnissa product suite and require minimal hand-holding from full-time employees
- Capable of opening service requests and troubleshooting issues with the vendor when necessary
- Support engineer will serve as a point person during the builds and validation phase
- Escalation for issues arising during QA work for Virtual Applications and Remote Desktops
- Assisting with knowledge transfer and documentation
- The support engineer must be meticulous and cognizant of multiple environments such as production, test, and dev environments, to avoid causing outages
- Team player with the ability to work independently when given appropriate access and configuration details
