This person will work closely with another full-time employee who handles external customers and firewall tasks. They will sustain the systems, ensure networks are set up properly and running smoothly, oversee system updates for all employees, review vulnerabilities, devise strategies to address them, and conduct investigative research. Position Summary:

- Develops written processes and procedures for administering and maintaining computer networks.
- Oversees day-to-day operations of computer networks, including hardware and software support.
- Leads system implementations and upgrades.
- Installs and maintains network file server hardware and operating systems, as well as local and wide area network hardware. Maintains documentation of network configuration.
- Maintains secure internet connectivity for the company.
- Installs and maintains remote access systems.
- Provides hands-on implementation and administration of server, desktop, and network infrastructure (switches, routers, etc.).
- Provides hands-on implementation and administration of networking and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Provides technical support to both internal and external customers, assisting via remote access capabilities.
- Installs and maintains computer applications on the network and standalone workstations, including laptops.
- Ensures Microsoft Office 365 licensing is compliant and maintained.
- Establishes and maintains user email accounts, manages anti-spam and anti-virus servers, and troubleshoots email problems.
- Administers, maintains, and documents building security and access.
- Manages patching through WSUS, firmware/security updates, and software updates.
- Maintains system backups on a daily/monthly basis, kept offsite.
- Develops, implements, and documents ongoing security processes for all computer networks, maintaining logs of systems and software maintenance.
- Works on multiple OS platforms and PC hardware configurations.
- Builds and repairs hardware, loads operating systems, and identifies application problems and solutions.
- Manages and maintains remote access capabilities to customer sites, including remote customer access passwords.
- Interfaces multiple databases to SQL-based solutions.
- Responsible for IT disaster plan development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Manages domain administration over network folder access/security.
- Maintains software tracking and storage systems, keeping all documentation regarding internal use software up to date.
- Documents structure of systems, applications, and databases.
- Administers the communication (telephony) system, overseeing installation and maintenance of telephony systems, providing support to end users, training end-users, and coordinating maintenance and repair of telephony circuits as necessary.

- A minimum of an AAS degree in computer science information systems. A BSCS or BSIS is preferred with 5-10 years of experience in IT networking and applications.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT technology field, computer science, or study with acceptable knowledge of computer programming and computer systems operation. 5+ years of experience in the field or related area is preferred. Prior experience in the electrical and controls field is a definite plus.
- Minimum of an associate degree in a relevant IT technology field or study with 5-10 years of experience in the field. Prior experience in the electrical and controls field is a definite plus.
- Must be an expert in IT security both internally and as an advisor for customers. Holds job-related certification(s) or equivalent work experience as determined by leadership.
- Established working knowledge of current hardware, software, and peripheral applications is mandatory.
