Job Title: Broadcast Specialist/Expert
Location: NYC (5 Days onsite)
Project Tenure: 12 Month
Relevant Experience: 15+ Years
Minimum Qualifications:
Network/System Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on Television Broadcast, Streaming, and OTT services, or equivalent hands-on experience.
At least 15 years of relevant experience in network or systems deployment supporting Television Broadcast, Streaming, and OTT services.
Prior experience working in a Television Operations Center, with 24/7 monitoring of live video
and audio streams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Address and resolve incidents escalated from the Tier 2 Analyst team.
2. Perform advanced troubleshooting by following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
3. Triage and escalate incidents as needed while ensuring complete ownership of tickets until
resolution.
4. Validate issue descriptions, conduct thorough diagnostics, and log incidents in the trouble-
ticketing system.
5. Manage backlog tickets from previous shifts, ensuring timely follow-ups.
6. Track external escalations, follow up on outstanding tickets, and conduct Root Cause Analysis
(RCA).
7. Participate in, manage, and drive major incident resolution.
8. Develop post-mortem reports and lead problem management efforts.
9. Coordinate with customers and stakeholders on escalated incidents and send regular outage
notifications.
10. Work on service requests and assist with new station turn-ups.
11. Provide feedback on troubleshooting processes and identify gaps in documentation.
12. Create and update SOPs as needed.
13. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the team lead or manager.
14. Maintain infrastructure documentation, including system overviews, SOPs, and network
diagrams.
Required Skills & Experience:
At least 10 years of experience as an L3 engineer or team lead in a Video NOC, technical support
center, or network troubleshooting environment involving broadcast, streaming, OTT platforms,
or MVPD operations.
Strong understanding of NOC monitoring tools and event-handling procedures.
Familiarity with ITIL processes.
