Job Title: CADD Workspace Specialist (Autodesk AEC Collection & Inventor)

Location: Columbia, SC- Hybrid

Duration: One Year Contract

Scope of the Project:
This role will support the agency in the development, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CADD workspaces utilizing Autodesk AEC Collection and Inventor. The selected candidate will collaborate with consultants and agency personnel across various transportation project disciplines, including planning, surveys, traffic, roadway, hydro, geotech, structures, program management, construction, and maintenance.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

Workspace Development and Maintenance:

  • Develop and configure CADD workspace standards, templates, and libraries for Autodesk AEC Collection and Inventor.
  • Regularly update and maintain CADD standards to ensure compliance with AASHTO and agency standards, specifications, and guidelines.
  • Document all workspace development efforts for long-term sustainability.
  • Create and deliver technical presentations to designers, management, and industry peers.

Technical Support:

  • Provide daily one-on-one and small group technical support and training to end-users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CADD tools and workflows.
  • Assist with software implementation in alignment with evolving CADD workspaces.

Coordination with IT and Vendors:

  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper installation, configuration, and licensing of CADD software.
  • Work closely with software vendors to stay informed of updates and obtain technical support.

Documentation:

  • Partner with departments to ensure workflows are documented and integrated into workspaces.
  • Update training materials and technical documentation; produce videos to demonstrate plan production processes.

Project Support:

  • Assist project teams with setting up and managing project-specific CADD environments.
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with client requirements and agency standards.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all CADD-related questions and issues.
  • Facilitate communication between design teams, project managers, and stakeholders on CADD-related matters.
