Responsibilities :
- Engineer new solutions to upgrade EOL ESX/VSI platform environments and thin client services. Collect application requirements to drive on prem to private/public cloud standards
- Discover design, document migration plans, working closely global platform architects, app owners, batch/storage systems and network SME
- Develop complex planning cycles with global teams to implement solutions based on global OneBank standards, without service outages or impacts to applications
- Upgrade for 86 EOL devices in UAT, Dev and Prod environments to comply with global standards for service and support
- New Thin Client upgrades, and upgrades to Hosting infrastructures
- Sybase to SQL migration
- Implement production cutover event
Required Skills :
- Collaborative style, with ability to rapidly discover our current platform environments, build trusted relationships with application and security owners to collect requirements, and work closely with a tenured team to drive strategic priorities.
- Experience with application architecture, ability to communicate comfortably with both application and infrastructure teams and bridge the technology requirements between them
- Familiarity with specific requirements of global applications where the application may reside in a different region than its users (for example, latency implications, support hours, maintenance periods, data residency, regulatory requirements, etc).
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Unix/Linux, VMWare, DNS, Infoblox, Messaging, Databases, Finance and Banking Applications, Security and Vulnerabilities.
- Weekend availability is required
Preferred Skills :
- Previous experience in financial companies with SME levels in RHEL, Linux, Windows and MSSQL database for both on prem and cloud
- Experience with JavaScript, SQL, Python, Jenkins, GITLab/Hub, automation pipelines, and software development
- Automation skills are highly desirable
