- Primary duty is to ensure that systems and equipment perform their proposed function in a satisfactory manner.
- The equipment and systems must be maintained as such to produce the accurate results needed to meet compliance to the related codes and standards.
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills including excellent human relations skills to interact with staff, visitors, and patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs inspections and testing on a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.
- Perform inspections and testing on a variety of fire protection and other life safety equipment including: Fire Extinguishers, Fire Dampers, Fire Doors, Emergency Showers, Emergency lighting, Exit Signage and Egress Lighting.
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance inspections on a wide variety of building systems and facility equipment.
- Assignments are semi-routine in nature.
- Work performed within generally defined parameters.
- Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.
- Review and provide feedback for upcoming test requests/schedules on a regular basis.
- Complete proper forms and documents in CMMS when necessary.
- Update Compliance Folder and Compliance Engine as necessary.
- Attend quality, safety, technical meetings, and seminars as necessary.
- Manage work in accordance of timeline goals.
- Independently performs basic tasks as outlined by supervisor or others.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Experience working with Computers and various building control systems.
- Experience related to the skills associated with building infrastructure systems.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Required:
- Excellent Communication Skills
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Driver s License.
Day shift: Monday - Friday (7:00am 3:30pm) Can be flexible on the start times. It may be extended up to 90 days
The main tasks will be:
- Exit sign inspections (Check to see if they are light)
- Changing filters
- Changing light bulbs
- Cleaning ice machines
- Cleaning machine rooms
- Helping with some minor corrective repairs
