The client is seeking an advanced Network Engineer to join their network team. This resource will work closely with FTE's on the network, systems, security team, and CTO to help improve the banks network experience and ticket backlog / volume while providing long term best practices and current state health checks of network environment. This person will also be tasked with configuration and best practices of check point environment
- Must be focused in check point VPN Solutions and be capable of configuration (will need to configure this for remote users who are trying to connect via VPN)
- 10+ years' experience within Network Architecture and Engineering
- 3-5 years of MS Azure Experience, IaaS, SSO, migration experience
- Experience Monitoring mission critical network infrastructure for both hardware and software failures.
- Experience within Architecture, deployment, and management of enterprise solution to replace legacy Routers.
- Experience within network security and vulnerability tickets
- Ability to liaise with Security organization on tickets or requests that are escalated.
- Experience with configuring, troubleshooting & managing firewalls & firewall rules.
- Acts as escalation point for mid-level engineer
- Design, Implement, and Maintain network operations
- Health checks on current network configurations
- Must have strong skills and experience with Cisco networking technologies
- Work closely to provide best practice recommendations to team and other cross functional leaders within technology
- Managing Firewalls, VPN, IPS/IDS and NAC solutions
- Opening a Firewall / Proxy
- Troubleshooting blocks from Forcepoint (Why is it blocked? should it be unblocked or remain blocked? Unblocking, etc)
- Endpoint protection (Carbon Black App Control)
- Understanding when to escalate issues to security team vs keep on infrastructure side of the enterprise
- Ability to work your way around Checkpoint and / or Pulse Secure

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $80.00/hr.
