About the Role:
A well-established insurance defense law firm, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to attorneys. This is an immediate-hire opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and has strong organizational, communication, and technical skills. You will be responsible for preparing legal documents, managing attorney calendars, handling court filings, and maintaining client records—all while ensuring compliance with strict legal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Documentation & Transcription: Transcribe dictation, draft and format pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents with accuracy
- .Case Management & Filing: Prepare and file legal documents with courts, ensuring all guidelines are met. Maintain organized case files and records
- .Attorney & Calendar Support: Manage attorneys’ schedules, coordinate depositions, hearings, and deadlines. Open and route attorney mail as needed
- .Billing & Compliance: Enter attorney billable hours, process invoices, and ensure compliance with client-specific billing requirements
- .Client & Court Communication: Handle calls, emails, and correspondence with professionalism and discretion. Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, and clients as needed
- .Trial & Deposition Preparation: Assist with compiling files and materials for depositions, hearings, and trials
- .Administrative & Office Duties: Provide general administrative support, including copying, scanning, mailing, and maintaining office systems

- : Experience: 2+ years of legal administrative experience, preferably in an insurance defense law firm or litigation-focused practic
- e.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with iManage is a plu
