Network Technician

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Technician to join a healthcare company located in the Philadelphia Area . This position is 100% onsite . The Network Technician will be responsible for resolving issues related to the coordination, control, design, support, and operation of specialized components of the data network. They will troubleshoot and support network infrastructure.

Responsibilities of the Network Technician include:

• Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot data network hardware and systems, including routers, switches, gateways, and firewalls.
• Implement and maintain LAN and WAN systems, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements.
• Escalate issues appropriately to senior network staff when required and assist with troubleshooting.

Qualifications of the Network Technician:

• 2+ years of experience in data, voice, or video network support.
• Hands-on experience working with multiple technical platforms (such as Mainframe or two-tiered client-server) and at least two network systems (such as Cisco or Nortel).
• Strong understanding of networking principles, including switches, VLANs, and routing protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Compensation for the Network Technician include:

• Hourly Rate: $28 per hour
