Overview: Our partner is seeking an experienced Heavy Haul/Specialized freight sales rep to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new customer relationships and growing their business in the specialized transportation market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities for companies services, including oversized/heavy haul freight, machinery transportation, and other specialized freight needs (no produce).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers through regular communication and excellent customer service
  • Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction
  • Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets through effective prospecting, negotiation, and closing of new business
  • Provide feedback and insights to help the company continue improving its products and services

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of sales experience in the transportation/logistics industry, preferably in specialized freight
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers at all levels
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities
  • Proficient in using CRM and transportation management software (experience with McLeod a plus)
  • Business to follow preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
