Summary

To support Counterparty Risk Analysis’ role covering the following industries and transaction types: i) principally Project Finance in the Americas; and (ii) certain corporate borrowers.

Key Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Reviews credit applications for completeness, consistency with internal policies, and follows up as needed with Front Office.
  • Performs impartial analysis of the borrower, group and transaction structure based on review of term sheet, market study, financial model, legal due diligence, and independent engineer report.
  • Reviews in detail and/or prepare internal rating models (Anadefi), making corrections as needed.
  • Drafts RPC Opinions, meeting deadlines responsibly.
  • Makes recommendations in consultation with Sector Credit Officer regarding exposure, ratings, and structure.
  • Verifies the accuracy of data in CACIB internal risk systems including Phidias, Eurecca, SIS, SMAC, and Anadefi.
  • Completes timely all internal risk systems.
  • Coordinates with Paris questions, which may arise in credit proposal and analyses for files which are under Head Office delegation.
  • Responds to requests from Loan Review and internal and external auditors.
  • Completes special assignments and ad hoc projects requested by CA-CIB NY and or RPC Paris.
  • Back-up analyst on files in other teams and sectors as the need arises.

Qualifications/Education Required

  • BA and business courses in relevant field

Qualifications/Education Desired

  • MBA or equivalent in Finance

Experience Required

  • Minimum seven years of credit or finance experience preferably at a bank or rating agency

Experience Desired

  • Experience with structured or project finance

Technical Sklills

  • Strong credit skills
  • Balance sheet and income statement analysis experience
  • Understanding of cash flow and projection models
  • Understanding of risk exposure and size

Competencies Required

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills
  • Knowledge of CA-CIBs systems and procedures
