Description: Engineer-Equipment - III

Location: Irving, TX

30 Month Contract

Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 years

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the team on managing/driving financial matters related to the projects; spending; POs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely invoicing and equipment deliveries.
  • Designing, procuring, and managing equipment for new cell sites.
  • Supporting the equipment engineering team with equipment order logistics.
  • Use FUZE to order equipment.
  • Forecast future needs based on project start dates.
  • Ensure proper tracking of all components.
  • Monitor all equipment expenditures.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure vendor payment.
  • Equipment Procurement & Optimization.
  • Oversee equipment receipt and acceptance.
  • Strong Project Management and Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team members.

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or three or more years of work experience.
  • Experience in the wireless telecom industry.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Must be well organized and able to work under time pressure.
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong technical and project management knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, project planning, and time management.
  • Knowledge and experience with the full suite of Google Workspace, including data analytical features such as PivotTable and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong Project Management and Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team members.

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Prior work experience working with Verizon tools (FUZE, etc.).
  • Samsung RAN equipment knowledge.
  • CIQ knowledge.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Telecom technologies.
  • Knowledge of RF, Transport, and Wireless Construction.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities, competing priorities, and situations in which guidelines can change.
  • Knowledge of HUB, CRAN & DRAN architecture.
  • Engineering, Planning, and/or Operations knowledge of 5G Wireless Networks.
  • Power, Space, and Cooling knowledge.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics.
