Billing and Administrative Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing and Administrative Specialist to join a growing team at a West coast based Mental Health office. The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with working with psychologists, therapists, insurance companies and clients. They will have excellent organizational, communication and time management skills. They will be proficient in computerized billing systems, managing client files, and scheduling. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
We are an overall wellness and mental health provider, providing services in California.
Duties
- Manage billing and invoicing processes
- Utilize computerized systems for accurate data entry and billing
- Assist with administrative duties as needed
- Conduct proofreading of billing documents for accuracy
- Provide excellent client service and support
- Maintain organized billing records and files
- Submit for Insurance Authorizations
- Manage client requests
- Schedule clients and manage practitioner calendars
- New employee onboarding support
- Initiate required forms including FMLA, disability, etc.
Requirements
- Proficiency in computer literacy and MS Office applications
- Strong time management skills
- Experience in calendar management
- Previous experience in a billing or clerk role preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in an office setting
- Familiar with working remotely
Understands client confidentiality and HIPPA.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
