Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Systems Administrator for a RIGHT TO HIRE assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in mid-town Manhattan, NYC. Hybrid: 3+ days/week in office

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing our company's IT infrastructure in our NYC office and offshore offices. The Systems Administrator should be proficient in monitoring, upkeeping, and implementing preventative maintenance for our on-premises and off-shore infrastructure. The systems administrator will have an advanced understanding and the ability to manage our Office 365 tenant, be sufficient in Intune management, Exchange, and other services offered within the Microsoft Suite. The candidate should have a history of working on, troubleshooting, and updating standard enterprise wireless access points and other on-prem networking equipment. As a member of the IT Operations team, you will be involved in administration tasks, including Office 365, OKTA, Intune, OKTA SSO integrations, PowerShell scripting, automation, and improving standard operating procedures. The systems administrator will be required to field calls from external service providers during off hours if they are to arise

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the continuous reliability, performance, and security of our systems.

  • Design, implement, and manage complex IT systems and infrastructure components.

  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of our on-premises equipment - servers, networks, and associated hardware and software.

  • Create new policies and procedures that align with the business needs of various IT departments.

  • Maintain software updates, vulnerability protection, security settings, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources to aid in problem resolution.

  • Provide support on

  • Office 365;

  • Active Directory;

  • Okta, including SAML integration and onboarding of new applications.

  • Engage various organizational stakeholders, including Front and Middle Office, Product Control, Risk Management, Back Office, Front Office, and other App Support teams.

  • Adhere to established information security standards and procedures.

  • Be a team player who can transfer knowledge and facilitate growth within the team.


Primary responsibilities estimated percentage:

  • 50% Infrastructure administration and upkeep

  • 50% Project work


Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in an Infrastructure role with a financial services organization, administering Windows/Linux servers, networking switches, access points

  • Demonstrated SME in Windows, Linux, O365, Domain Controllers, Group Policies, Conditional Access, automation, and PowerShell scripting.

  • Strong OKTA skills

  • Strong Microsoft Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) skills

  • Working knowledge of Networking, DNS, Internet Infrastructure, and IP informational tools

  • Strong experience working with enterprise-level infrastructure technology.

  • Highly ambitious individual who can provide white-glove service and support to our users and assist with automating processes in software deployments and security-based tasks.

  • Passion for customer service and supporting our clients' needs

  • Professional and motivated

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches is a plus but not a requirement.
