VP Operations
Job description
The Operations VP will be responsible for the Middle and Back Office functions that support the efficient and timely processing and execution of all transactions running thru the New York Branch, including Loans, LCs, Securities, Yankee CDs and Deposits. This will involve reviewing documents, co-ordination of payment instructions, and releasing SWIFT messages/payments and FEDLINE transfers and confirmation instructions. He or she will also be required to familiarize him or herself with the NYA's Policies and Procedures and Regulatory Reporting and support in the review, update and completion of the same when required. In the event of external or internal audits, he or she will be required to assist in the provision of any requested information pertaining to day to day operations. He or she will also be required to complete or review the Agency’s daily liquidity report, and be engaged with Agency related Administration matters.
Reporting Line: to the NY Branch General Manager.
Experience.
Candidates must have at least 10 years relevant experience working on the middle office/back office/operations side of a commercial bank, and show a good track record of advancement/promotion to assume day to day responsibilities. Detailed knowledge of commercial banking and treasury products, SWIFT and FEDLINE payments systems, the processing of standard commercial banking product transactions, experience in dealing with internal and external regulatory audits, familiarity with standard Policies and Procedures pertaining to Commercial Banking operations.
Other requirements:
College degree level education.
Must have successfully completed minimum Regulatory (BSA/AML) training.
Knowledge of Spanish a plus.
Compensation:
A competitive remuneration package is offered including non-contributory healthcare, and participation in the bank’s target bonus program.
