Overview
The Commission expects its employees to be courteous and respectful while assisting Commission customers and stakeholders, ensuring each encounter is as positive as possible. Employees should promptly resolve questions or problems relating to the Commission, its programs and/or fish and wildlife resources. Employees should seek to gain public support for agency objectives and programs by serving Florida’s citizens in a positive and proactive manner and by listening to what the customer wants and striving to meet their needs. When appropriate, employees will explain the reasons for agency actions or decisions while communicating a consistent FWC point-of-view. Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures. Work at FWC is cross-functional meaning duties may cross division/office lines. The Commission expects employees to function across FWC’s organizational structure by providing their skills and expertise wherever needed through work on teams or as directed.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Promptly and courteously assists staff and public with questions concerning licensing and permitting
- Is knowledgeable of ho all licenses and permits issued by the office are processed and assists customers over the phone
- Reviews and issues commercial and recreational licenses and permit
- Promptly and courteously completes and communicates with Agency Public Records Liaison to accurately and timely fulfill requests for clemency and related license record histories
- Assists with the operations and administrative functions of the Office of Lice3nsing and Permitting
- Schedules and coordinates maintenance and repairs of equipment
- Assist users with problem resolution related to equipment and systems as requested
- Assists with meeting scheduling
- Assists with supply inventory and communication to ensure supply and equipment needs are relayed to financial staff for purchasing
- Travels to attend required trainings or meetings as requested
- Travels to other FWC buildings as requested
- Develops, plans, organizes, and administers policies and procedures to ensure strategic administrative operational objectives are met.
- Works as a member of teams as assigned. Administers, interprets, and explains policies, rules, regulations, and laws.
- Responsible for timely and accurate processing and/or approval, as appropriate, of vendor invoices and warrants for payment of goods received or services rendered to avoid automatic interest penalty payments to said vendors.
- Knowledge of rules, procedures, policies and laws governing licensing and permitting.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
