Data Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Data Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in Seattle, WA or San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain complex data models and queries to support analytics and dashboards
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data insights reporting, analytics solutions, and technical solutions that enable and support partners to access and analyze data effectively
• Build Workflows for efficient ETL process
• Document projects with clear business objectives
• Experience of developing applications on cloud(AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
• Clear understanding and ability to implement distributed storage, processing and scalable applications.
• Proficiency in writing disitributed & scalable data processing code using PySpark, Python and related libraries.
• Experience in developing applications that consume the services exposed as ReST APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders
• Build dashboards using Tableau/PowerBI

Required Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience
• Create cost efficient and scalable code for Big Data using SQL,Pyspark and Python
• Experience with data warehousing technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks)
• Expertise in analytics and data engineering concepts, tools, and technologies.
• Proficiency in data transformation tools like dbt (data build tool)
• Experience with data orchestration platforms (e.g., Airflow, Glue)
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schemas
• Ability to collaborate with partners and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Great documentation & presentation skills
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI
