Position Overview
The Operations Manager will lead regional projects and innovation initiatives, ensuring consistent standards and practices across Network Implementation and Operations (NI&O) teams. Acting as a key liaison between NI&O, district teams, and cross-functional partners, this role facilitates the adoption of best practices and corporate objectives while proactively managing risks and driving results.
The ideal candidate will have significant project management experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have managed projects in the telecommunications industry. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills to oversee complex programs, deliver key milestones, and provide updates and presentations to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an entire program for the West region, driving results for key milestones tracked at a highly complex level.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee processes, workflows, and training programs to ensure consistent adoption across district teams.
  • Align regional efforts with national business priorities to ensure consistency in execution and reporting.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel as the primary tool for tracking progress and risks on project milestones, including creating pivot tables, applying formulas, and leveraging functions to manage and report data effectively.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among teams in engineering, permitting, construction operations, finance, and supply chain to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Proactively identify risks, drive multiple conversations simultaneously, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to track progress, highlight risks, and demonstrate results.
  • Present updates and actionable insights to leadership with clarity and confidence.

Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience/Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with measurable results in delivering operational objectives.
  • Prior experience managing projects in the telecommunications industry is a strong plus.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, functions, and formulas, is required.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and reporting is required
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Principles, or PMP certification is a plus
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong business and financial acumen with expertise in project planning and management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams across multiple lines of business
  • Knowledge of and experience with analytics, including the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
  • Familiarity with Power BI to view/filter visual dashboards and manage data reporting.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and risk management skills, with the ability to proactively identify and address challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide updates to leadership and deliver relevant presentations
  • High level of initiative, adaptability, and curiosity, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • A commitment to ethical and professional integrity, maintaining the highest business standards.
