Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sourcing Specialist (Mid Level) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with assigned Sourcing Managers and product segments as the local owner of assigned commodities. Your main objective will be to execute sourcing strategies that ensure the realization of business objectives related to assigned commodities, including managing the Cost of Bill of Materials, Target Costing, and Should-Be Costing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies: Drive local sourcing strategies that create a competitive advantage. Manage supplier selection, development, and consolidation to optimize sourcing and supplier performance.
- Sourcing Execution: Take full accountability for sourcing execution for assigned commodity(s) or suppliers, ensuring compliance with buy targets and meeting deflation goals.
- Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analysis of components and manufacturing processes used by suppliers to ensure the highest quality at the lowest cost.
- Supplier Performance Management: Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance. Develop and implement improvement strategies to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Partner with key local stakeholders to ensure sourced materials and services meet business requirements and objectives.
- Sourcing Process Improvement: Drive improvements in sourcing processes, including managing escalations related to delivery and quality issues, invoicing problems, and database management.
- Direct Sourcing Responsibilities: Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost productivity, fulfillment, and obsolescence lifecycle management by leveraging industry practices.
- Build deep relationships with strategic suppliers, driving early supplier engagement into New Product Introduction (NPI) and fostering long-term partnerships throughout the product lifecycle.
- Indirect Sourcing Responsibilities: Drive business productivity metrics affected by indirect sourcing, ensuring cost accuracy, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead improvements in sourcing processes through digitization, simplification, and improved communication, such as dashboards and policy recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in an Engineering technical discipline, or 5 years of work experience in the assigned commodity.
- Experience:At least 3 years of work experience with technical depth knowledge in assigned commodities.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Commercial Sourcing or Supply Chain.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience in supplier management and cost analysis.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
