Petty Cash Coordinator

Summary

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs oversight of petty cash, including, but not limited to travel and other expense reimbursements, foreign currency, personal services and various other cash requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares travel advances in a timely manner.

• Obtains foreign currency for business travel.

• Reimburses attorneys and staff for client and Firm expenditures in a timely manner.

• Obtain money orders, American Express gift checks and travelers checks for all personnel and ensures payment and applicable fees are charged accordingly.

• Accommodates requests for personal advances.

• Responds to petty cash requests received via email, telephone or in person.

• Balances the petty cash account daily, reports discrepancies and replenishes as needed.

• Maintains petty cash log.

• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Detail oriented; and ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Strong verbal and written skills.

• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and complete them under time constraints.

• Moderate skills level in MS Office Applications.

• Competency to do mathematical computations.

• Must be able to work overtime when necessary, in particular, at year end.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting or finance.

• 1-2 years general office administration experience

• Experience in accounting, preferably in a legal or financial institution.

Working Conditions

• Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.

The expected base salary for this role ranges from $65,000.00-$70,000.00, plus overtime and bonus.
