Location: 2207 Bridgepointe Pkwy, San Mateo, CA 94404
Duration: 3-month contract + High Possibility of Extension
Payrate: $40-$52/Hr
1st Shift: 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

Job Summary:
- The Legal Operations team at SIE is seeking a Business Analyst – Vendor Management to oversee and optimize the contracting needs of our legal vendor portfolio.
- This role will collaborate with multiple departments, including legal, vendors, information security, accounting, and procurement.
- The selected candidate will contribute to budget formation, contract negotiations, and legal process optimizations, providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle, ensuring timely contract execution and billing.
- Collaborate with the Legal team on contract terms, content, and delivery expectations.
- Work with Legal and Finance to resolve payment issues efficiently.
- Partner with Finance’s Corporate Planning team and budget lead to explain variances.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to optimize costs and ensure contracts align with business requirements and company standards.
- Analyze financial data and industry pricing trends to identify risks and opportunities, supporting contract negotiations.
- Provide ad hoc financial reports and develop insightful dashboards for leadership.
- Ensure accurate budgeting and expense tracking by maintaining continuous communication with planning counterparts.
- Develop and implement effective project communication plans, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Identify and drive improvements in contract management, payment tracking, and budget creation processes.
Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procure-to-pay, contract/vendor management, preferably in a Legal environment.
- Knowledge of outside counsel billing practices and e-billing. Experience with SimpleLegal or Adaptive Software is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with SAP and/or Conga Contracts is a plus.
- Strong spreadsheet analysis skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal guidance.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Service-oriented mindset, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
