Technical Project & Product Manager (SaaS/Payments)
Who We Are
Swipesum is a payment processing and tech company on a mission to make payments painless for businesses. We find the best payment solutions, offer white-glove support, and build innovative software in-house to keep our clients ahead. We’re a tight-knit, in-office team looking for someone to bridge our client projects and product development with skill and heart.
What You’ll Do
As our Payment Processing Project & Product Manager, you’ll lead client payment optimization projects from kickoff to completion while shaping the in-house software that powers our solutions. This role blends project management precision with product management vision: think timelines and deliverables meets roadmaps and features. You will report directly to the founders, this is a leadership role.
Here’s your day-to-day:
- Manage Client Projects: Own the full project lifecycle: gather payment data, set milestones, coordinate analysts and developers, and deliver on time. You’re the client’s go-to, keeping them informed and happy.
- Drive Product Development: Translate client needs into product features, work with our dev team on the software roadmap, and ensure our tools evolve to solve real payment problems.
- Execute Implementations: Lead testing, software integrations (e.g., payment gateways), and client training to launch solutions that stick.
- Keep Teams Aligned: Run Agile sprints when needed, track progress with tools like Jira, and tackle risks before they derail deadlines.
- Grow Client Impact: Check in post-launch, spot upselling opportunities (e.g., new merchant services), and hand off to support with detailed notes.
What Success Looks Like
- Clients launch payment solutions on schedule and stay with us for the long haul.
- Our software gets sharper with every feature you champion.
- Teams hit their stride under your clear, organized leadership.
Who You Are
You’re a project management pro who gets payment processing and a product management thinker who loves building solutions. You juggle deadlines and stakeholder needs with ease. Here’s what you bring:
- Project Management Experience: 5+ years running projects, ideally in FinTech or SaaS, with a track record of hitting deadlines and budgets.
- Product Management Skills: You’ve shaped product features or roadmaps, turning feedback into action. Bonus if it’s software-related.
- Payment Processing Know-How: Familiar with merchant services, payment gateways, or processors, you can talk the talk with clients and tech teams.
- Tech Toolkit: Comfortable with project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello) and Agile practices like sprint planning.
- Communication: You break down complex payment or software ideas for clients and teams, verbally and in writing.
- Education: Bachelor’s in business, tech, or a related field, or equivalent experience that shows you’ve got the chops.
Preferred (Not Required):
- PMP or Agile certification.
- Hands-on SaaS/payment integration experience.
- Consulting or client-facing wins in your past.
- Product Management of internal tools or client projects
