Instructor Trainer
Founded 33 years ago, Allied Consultants is an Austin-based firm and premier provider of technical and business staffing solutions for the State of Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Instructor Trainer to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
**Location of job: Hybrid. 1 day remote (Fridays) 4 days onsite required to be onsite at the location listed above. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY.**
Responsibilities
The Instructor Trainer II position performs advanced training work to ensure employees are effectively trained in data governance tools that support the implementation of a metadata library project. The contractor will support the Office of Data Governance (ODG) and Information Technology (IT) teams as well as programs across the agency with developing and implementing standardized documentation of business and technical metadata for all agency data in agency data governance tools. The contractor will also assist with other data governance priorities, as needed.
The instructor trainer must be able to draft a variety of communications, training materials, and presentations for program staff to understand their role in implementing and maintaining business and technical metadata. The instructor trainer must be able to clearly communicate (verbally and in writing) with a variety of stakeholders as job duties include working directly with public health program staff on a daily basis. Attention to detail and ability to keep up with and distinguish between a variety of program areas will be critical in this fast-paced project. The instructor trainer must be self-motivating with strong initiative and work ethic.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 5 years experience in designing, developing, and implementing training curricula, presenting technical information for non-technical staff
- 5 years experience working directly with program/business staff to implement a technical solution and change management
- 5 years experience preparing verbal and written briefings and reporting for executive staff and other audiences
- 5 years experience working with cross-functional teams and building collaborations
Preferred:
- 2 years experience with Informatica data governance tool (Axon, Enterprise Data Catalog, and/or Informatica Data Quality)
- 2 years experience working with public health program areas or data assets
- 2 years experience with web-based learning management systems and e-Learning authoring tools
