POSITION TITLE: Development/Fundraising and Events Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Director of Philanthropy

STATUS: Full-time, Nonexempt; hours 10AM-6PM

This position includes high-visibility interactions with executive management, Board of Directors, donors, and corporate sponsors. Must be poised and confident with a proactive, customer service focused mindset, discretion, and a sense of humor. Strong relationship building skills. Ability to be self-motivating, strong attention to detail, prioritization of tasks, time management and problem solving. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Interest in the arts and or fundraising a plus!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Development/Fundraising and Events Coordinator is responsible for managing the Development Department database including donations, sponsorships, membership renewals, all mailings, and department correspondences. Inputting, record keeping, and ongoing reporting of funds received, membership renewals, and event RSVP’s. This position requires a large amount of data entry, timely correspondence, and database management, as well as large scale event coordination.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Acknowledge contributions in a timely fashion
  • Preparation and presentation of reports to BoD, staff, committees, etc.
  • Maintain Development Department database; Data entry and other department administrative work.
  • Assist members with concierge ticketing services including invoicing and payment processing
  • Provide support for the planning and executing of logistics for events - occasional volunteer management.
  • Coordinate and execute fundraising appeals.
  • Maintain all pertinent marketing materials to be used for grants, presentations, and donor presentations; work closely with marketing to ensure accurate fulfilment of sponsor benefits.
  • Meeting prep including materials, reporting on project status.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced excel, mail merge, and power point a must; excellent written communication skills.
  • Tech savvy; ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Numbers-oriented; ability to quickly manipulate numbers in excel.
  • CRM or other data management system or similar required.
  • Basic graphic design experience a huge plus.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, manage calendars, and meet deadlines.
  • Event logistics and coordination a plus.

Salary range is $45,000 - $50,000.
