JOB DESCRIPTION:

Funrise is looking for a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join the team and support various day-to-day accounting operations. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and providing general support to the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance or a related field, excellent communication skills, is comfortable handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, and is eager to learn and grow within the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in maintaining financial records, including processing accounts payable and receivable
  • Support monthly close activities, including preparing basic financial statements
  • Reconcile bank statements and other general accounts under supervision
  • Help prepare accurate balance sheets and income statements for review
  • Participate in audits by gathering and organizing documentation as needed
  • Perform data entry and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and support daily accounting operations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic accounting software.

Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid, Exempt

Compensation: $75k - $90k
