Long Term Contract
Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software.
Requires the application of principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Under general direction, performs high-level systems analysis, design, development, integration, documentation, and implementation of application software that requires a thorough knowledge of technical skills.
Directs and participates in all phases of system development with emphasis on analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases.
Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Responsible for ensuring the quality of services delivered for particular HQARS task(s).
Required Skills:
Bachelor s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered
At least 5+ years of proficiency in COBOL development is required for this position.
Capability Maturity Model (CMM): Understanding of CMM processes and methodologies to ensure software development quality and process improvement.
COBOL Programming Language
Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile environments, including participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Unisys: Hands-on experience with Unisys mainframe systems and related technologies.
Mainframe: Expertise in mainframe environments, including batch processing and online transaction processing.
ECL (Executive Control Language): Knowledge of ECL for managing and controlling Unisys mainframe environments.
QLP: Proficiency in QLP for job control, automation, and efficient workflow management.
