Business Development Specialist
Position Overview:
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical vertical. This role requires an experienced sales professional with an established network in the North East region, the ability to develop relationships with key decision-makers, and a track record of successfully driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical label products sector.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand our market share within the North East territory.
- Build strong relationships with pharmaceutical companies, CMOs, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, potential clients, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand brand visibility.
- Maintain a deep understanding of product offerings and industry regulations to effectively communicate value propositions.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of business development or sales experience in the label products or packaging industry, with a strong preference for pharmaceutical sector experience.
- Established network and connections within pharmaceutical companies in the North East region.
- Demonstrated success in acquiring and growing new accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable with 30-50% travel within the North East territory.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
