Our client is looking for a Technical Support Technician for a 6-month contract in Hillsboro, OR 97124.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
Our client is a multibillion-dollar company that provides end-to-end managed services, technology, and consulting to enable the digital workplace for small to enterprise businesses. Contract Duration: 6 months
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3 years of experience
  • Windows 11 and Windows on Arm
  • Install & update game/creator/ai workloads.
What You Will Be Doing
  • System hardware configuration for desktop/mobile/handheld devices
  • Swapping discrete graphics card would be most common task on desktop PCs - Occasionally other components might need to be swapped or replaced - CPU, SSDs, external SSDs, and system memory.
  • Build new DIY systems when platforms change.
  • Ensure lab space is clean and organized with unused items put away in storage.
  • Software and hardware tools configuration
  • Windows 11 and Windows on Arm (clean install, updates, configuration with and without batch scripts)
  • Install & update game/creator/ai workloads.
  • 1st time launching of games (needs to be done after every driver install)
  • Internal and External Software Tool Setup (Client PTAT, Client PresentMon, HWiNFO64, GPU-Z, DDU, GPUView, etc.)
  • System monitoring and data reporting
  • Ensure systems don't hang and recover if they do (cancel and restart jobs in automation software webui)
  • Confirm systems are connected to the network
  • Physically unplugging and plugging back the power cable on systems that need AC versus DC power testing
  • Monitor systems for visual issues (corruptions, flickering, ghosting, tearing etc.)
  • If an automated job fails to run be able to help troubleshoot/determine the issue and report it (game activation issue, game pop-up broke the automation script, setting no longer available, etc.)
  • Confirm result logs were created and share them when test plans are completed.
  • File bugs in Jira - this includes writing a summary describing the problem, detailed steps to reproduce the bug, the affected app version
