Overview:
We are seeking a Developer who will support the State of New York on the Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES) project.
Duties:
Translation of the business requirement and use cases to develop enterprise applications and unit testing of same.
Work with the technical leads and architects to transform the high and low-level system design into technical components.
Develop applications based on technical requirements, design & architecture principles & standards Build reusable code and libraries for platform & shared services
Produce work products and applications that reflect and ensure system design and delivery are in line with business needs and project plan.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned
Mandatory Qualifications:
More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer.
Seven (7) years of experience in utilizing a variety of technologies and frameworks to achieve project goals, adapting to new tools as necessary with hands-on experience in full stack development, using modern OO programming languages (.NET C# preferably) for Web Services, Database, or web application development.
Desirable Qualifications:
Seven (7) years of experience in developing and maintaining applications using distributed version control (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, SonarQube) including experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery techniques.
Five (5) years of experience developing with .NET Core, .NET 6, .NET 8.
Seven (7) years of developing web applications utilizing MVC Patterns.
Five (5) years of developing web applications utilizing Angular.
Five (5) years of experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDE's.
Five (5) years of Experience Performing database operations, optimization, and maintenance using SQL Server.
Five (5) years of Experience Performing database operations, optimization, and maintenance using Oracle.
Three (3) years of Domain knowledge and experience in health and human services, especially in Integrated Eligibility System programs such as PA, TA, SNAP, HEAP, Fair Hearings, Child Support, etc.
Four (4) years of experience with Web APIs and JSON.
Masters/ bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology.
