Role Overview
The Eastern Communications Ltd. Financial Data Analyst will play a crucial role in driving our organization's financial insights and decision-making. In this position, you will leverage your analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations that support our strategic goals. Your expertise will help optimize financial performance and contribute to our company's success in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams to gather relevant data and insights
  • Create dashboards and reports to visualize financial data for decision-making
  • Perform variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts and budgets
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular data audits and validations
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Support the automation of data collection and reporting processes
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial data analysis




Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
  • Experience working with NetSuite ERP modules, particularly financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization tools like NetSuite Analytics Warehouse or Power BI
  • Proficiency in SQL, with a preference for experience using SQL within the NetSuite environment
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings clearly
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data modeling
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations
