Our client, an innovative biotechnology company specialising in injectable biologics and advanced biotechnology dosage forms, is looking for a Vice President of Business Development to join their growing team. Reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer (CBO), this is a key leadership role focused on driving the company’s growth, securing strategic partnerships, and building a high-performing business development team.
With recent funding, the company is on track to expand from 50 to 100 employees by the end of 2025. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, growth-driven leader to make a significant impact in a rapidly evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue and expand market presence
- Actively identify and secure new B2B partnerships and clients, particularly within the biologics space
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing business development team
- Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships that support the company’s growth objectives
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure business development aligns with broader company goals
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development, with at least 5 years in a senior role (Director or above) within the biotechnology or biologics sectors
- Proven success in driving new business and securing partnerships, with specific experience in biologics
- A highly strategic and growth-focused mindset, able to identify and act on new market opportunities
- Strong commercial experience in B2B sales within biotechnology or life sciences
- Experience in hiring, building, and leading high-performing teams
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to execute growth strategies effectively
- Experience managing remote teams across multiple locations
