The Junior Project Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing technical projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and draft mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies in 3D using Draftsight.
- Create detailed manufacturing plans.
- Track projects from the discovery phase through production and manage modifications throughout the process.
- Participate in the development of technical documentation for production.
- Draft plans according to precise technical specifications outlined in a project brief.
- Assist in the development of project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Coordinate project activities to ensure they align with the overall project goals and timelines.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment needed for the project.
- Maintain open lines of communication with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Facilitate regular project meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and make decisions.
- Prepare and distribute project reports and updates to relevant stakeholder.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality and performance in all technical deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, reports, and project status updates.
- 1 - 2 years of Engineering experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited School is preferred but not required.
- Experience with 2D & 3D Design Software: DraftSight, AutoCAD, etc.
- Great work ethic and a strong desire to grow within a company.
- Great communication skills and the ability to speak with other engineers and clients.
- Ability to work independently - current team is small and looking to grow.
