PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a Senior Scrum Master that will lead Agile teams while also managing and optimizing our Jira and Confluence environments. This role requires a servant leader who will enforce Agile best practices, hold the team accountable to its commitments, and drive continuous improvement with measurable outcomes. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

- Drive Agile maturity by challenging teams to improve sprint planning, backlog refinement, and team velocity.

- Help identify and remove impediments by addressing team challenges and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and stakeholders to refine backlogs and align business goals with Agile execution.
- Facilitate data-driven decision-making using Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, lead time, burndown charts).
- Coach Product Owners on writing clear, prioritized, and achievable user stories that align with business goals.
- Push for cross-team collaboration and alignment to remove silos and optimize Agile delivery across departments.
- Lead by example in modeling Agile values and principles, driving adoption and commitment to Agile practices across teams and departments.
- Challenge teams to elevate their Agile maturity by introducing innovative approaches to problem-solving, improving processes, and fostering a culture of experimentation.
- Coach and mentor Product Owners, business leaders, and team members to strengthen their Agile skills, ensuring they consistently deliver value and improve team collaboration.
- Advocate for Agile transformation by promoting alignment between business goals and Agile delivery, ensuring teams are focused on high-priority initiatives that support organizational success.
- Hold leadership accountable for their role in supporting Agile practices, ensuring they provide the necessary resources, trust, and empowerment for teams to thrive.
- Manage and optimize Jira workflows, custom fields, permissions, automation rules, and Confluence spaces to align with business needs.
- Oversee Atlassian licensing and renewals to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with business needs.
- Administer user roles, permissions, and licensing across Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management (JSM) to ensure security and proper access.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate upgrades or integrations to keep Atlassian environments running efficiently.
- Develop custom Jira dashboards, reports, scripts, and automation rules to improve workflow efficiency and Agile team productivity.
- Provide guidance, documentation, and training to teams on Jira and Confluence best practices to maximize adoption and effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, plus a minimum seven years’ experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of Atlassian administration experience, with hands-on experience managing Jira and Confluence, including licensing, environment organization, and system optimization.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; demonstrates effective leadership, teamwork, and negotiation skills; strong formal presentation skills.
- Excellent decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution skills, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational, time-management and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience coaching teams, leaders, and stakeholders on Agile best practices.
- Experience administering Jira Service Management (JSM) for help desk support.
- Experience working in a global organization with teams across multiple time zones and in remote working environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with work management tools (i.e., JIRA, Version One, Aha, MS Project, etc.).
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of individuals, both internally and externally.
- Familiar with PING operations and personnel. Possesses a true understanding of our Systems and processes capabilities.
