TEKsystems is seeking a 3rd shift Technical Support Specialist to add to their client's team in Middleton, WI.
The Technical Support Specialist will provide timely response to IT service requests including evaluating the root cause and coordinating resolution while reporting status within established client best practices. All issues will be technical in nature, relating to technology implementations and installations being performed by the client at large retail companies nationwide. These implementations are usually related to security systems, POS systems, in-store networking, and hardware/software installation.
Some job duties this role includes are:
In-bound call reception of the client service queue for field technicians reporting status or requesting direction
Out-bound calling to field technicians to gather status, to provide direction when length of time at customer location has elapsed, or to assist with issues that require immediate attention
Documenting the status of and providing direction to technicians in the field performing work on service requests
Ensuring field technicians time spent onsite is utilized most efficiently
Role Requirements:
The ideal candidate has either an education or experience in the IT field, either through pursuing a technical degree, earning technical certifications, or having previous technical support experience. Previous customer service experience is a plus.
Other Details:
This role sits onsite in Middleton, Wisconsin for the first 12 weeks of training with the potential to transition to hybrid following training. Shift is Sunday - Thursday, 10pm - 7am.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
