Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Billerica, MA (On-site)

Pay: $100,000 - $140,000 Annually

About the role & company:

We are a high-end metal fabrication shop. A candidate must have experience with one or more of the following cold metalworking processes:

  • Squeezing
  • Bending
  • Sheering
  • Deep Drawing
  • Spinning
  • or any metal processes in the CNC Machining field

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of maintaining and developing parameters specific to our operations. Taking a hands-on approach, a successful manufacturing process engineer will monitor production, assist in troubleshooting manufacturing issues, drive continuous improvement efforts throughout the process, and the following:

  • Support customers’ technical requirements from program infancy through First Article Inspections
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and manufacturing processes for various metal products
  • Evaluate products’ material properties to ensure adherence to strict specifications
  • Optimize processing capabilities through the use of continuous improvement principles
  • Model and optimize material process flow through production to improve on-time delivery
  • Contribute to the research, design, and selection of tooling, fixturing, and gauging to be used in the manufacturing process
  • Oversee equipment modifications, upgrades, and automation
  • Help to lead a Zero Injury Culture through actions and developing safe job procedures
  • Authority to perform all tasks/activities responsible for

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years experience working in engineering in the manufacturing industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering
  • Experience working with 2D and/or 3D Solid Works software

Skilled in:

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of metals and materials
  • Experience working in an AS9100 facility

This is a permanent role within the company.
