Mechanical Engineer 1
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Mechanical Drafter 1 in Rapid City, SD. The work will be done onsite. This is a long term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $33/hr including benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay. Cullerton Group will provide sponsorship.
Our customer is the largest manufacturer of construction equipment in the world.
Typical task breakdown: • Create 3D models of new designs utilizing PTC Creo • Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents • Overseeing the efforts of drafting teams to create any manufacturing drawings related to your designs. • Perform needed analysis activities to aid in development and refinement of designs. • Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports. • Communicate technical information to team members, other Caterpillar engineering teams and suppliers • Develop technical documentation for operation of new tools.
Education & Experience Required: - Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical engineering preferred) - No 2 year degrees - Yes Master’s - No max on experience Top 3 Skills · Proficiency in application of PTC Creo or other parametric 3D modeling and/or simulation tools · Experience with design and development of product tooling for service applications · Experience maintaining or operating heavy equipment Additional Technical Skills (Required) - Experience with modeling/designing in 3d parametric modeling software (i.e. Creo, Inventor, Solidworks, etc.) - Experience with application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing - Mechanical print reading and/or drafting experience (Desired) - Experience with various analytical/simulation tools (i.e. Finite Element Analysis, Bolted Joint Analysis, Tolerance Stack-ups, etc.
