QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant degree or diploma in Information systems or information technology, Microsoft MCSE certification, experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.
Familiarity with SQL and database operations.
Familiarity with SQL and database operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), WI-FI, and Internet system or a segment of a network system.
- Analyze workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
- Maintain network and security hardware and software.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
- Maintain network security policy, addressed security issues and applied appropriate security patches.
Skill sets include Microsoft, Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto NGFW, Unix, Linux, MVS or VS, VMWare and extensive network certifications.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience as an IT professional which must include A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a systems administrator within a Windows or Linux environment.
- Experience in IT controls, Cyber (NIST or CIS), HIPAA, PCI, or security compliance.
- Applicants will be required to complete Department of Revenue Security Clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a professional, large enterprise-level environment (100+ servers), as a dedicated Systems Administrator.
- Some experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience managing both on premise and familiarity with cloud environments.
- Real-world, hands on experience with at least one Cloud based environment (AWS - Preferred, Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
- Scripting experience in Powershell, 9293 Eastbash and python.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Experience with central system administration and monitoring tools such as syslog, puppet, Splunk.
- Understanding of system hardening through group policy management and security concepts from a system administration perspective.
- Experience with Google Apps in a professional environment.
- Experience with Crowdstrike, Tenable, or Tanium.
Certifications: ITIL, CompTIA Security +, GIAC Global Information Assurance Certification from SANS Institute, CISSP, CISA and/or CISM.
