Job Description
Cutter Associates supports the global investment management industry by combining three complementary services: Consulting, Research, and Benchmarking. We have ongoing relationships with hundreds of asset managers, asset owners, and asset servicers. Cutter currently has offices in Boston, London, Singapore, and Sydney; we are growing!
Cutter is seeking a Technology Operations Manager to support business growth. This new position is responsible for supporting a small-sized company with a global workforce. The core functions of the position include user support, Microsoft environment administration, security management, website administration, and backing up other team members.
In this role, you will be part of the operations team and report to the Managing Director of Marketing and operations. You will direct the work of a contracted IT technician who understands the technical environment and user support model.
Qualifications
We seek candidates with the following skills:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT system administration
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Teams, Power BI, Forms), Salesforce, and IT security best practices.
- Experience managing cloud environments and vendor SaaS solutions.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.
- Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Proven ability to manage IT teams and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a global, fast-paced consulting environment.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Microsoft, Salesforce, or IT security certifications (CISM, CISSP)
- Experience implementing ITIL or ISO 27001 frameworks
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
- IT Strategy & Management:
- Develop and implement IT policies, security frameworks, and business continuity plans.
- Align IT initiatives with business objectives, ensuring efficient use of technology.
- Lead and mentor IT staff, including the System Administrator / IT Support team.
- System & Security Oversight:
- Oversee the administration of Microsoft Suite, Craft CMS, and other vendor platforms.
- Manage security compliance, manage risk assessments, change management, business continuity, and implement cybersecurity measures.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address IT issues.
- Data operations, primarily related to Salesforce and the content management system
- Benchmarking Survey Support:
- Provide assistance in producing benchmarking reports from loading information into the survey tool, testing surveys, and creating survey reports
- Vendor & Budget Management:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and optimize software costs.
- Oversee IT procurement, licensing, and renewals for SaaS and hardware.
- Develop and manage the IT budget to ensure cost efficiency.
- User Support & Training:
- Establish IT support processes to minimize downtime and improve user experience.
- Oversee training programs to enhance employees' use of IT tools and cybersecurity awareness.
