Technical Project Manager, Infrastructure
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're seeking a Technical Project Manager to oversee critical upgrades for our client in Telecommunications. The successful candidate will have a proven track record managing infrastructure focused projects, strong experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies, and using tools like JIRA and Confluence. Key attributes include adept communication skills, the ability to adapt to and navigate technical complexities, and the capability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Reporting to our Resource Manager, as a Full-Time Specialist on our team working remotely, you will be integral to the strategic planning and tactical execution of infrastructure projects. The role demands a proactive individual who can oversee the product lifecycle, from conception to deployment, while managing day-to-day project execution effectively. You will bridge multiple workstreams including servers, databases, networking, and more ensuring seamless project execution. Preference will be given to those with strong infrastructure and technical experience, especially within the telecommunications, software and technology sectors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in an infrastructure and technology-driven environment
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: server management, networking, data management, software development, cloud deployment, security infrastructure, reporting, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with Agile project management tools including JIRA and Confluence
- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills
- Telecommunications industry experience is preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the key interface between stakeholders and the client's development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives and priorities.
- Monitor project progress and adjust the product feature backlog as needed to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Manage the development process, ensuring the team has the necessary details to execute tasks efficiently.
- Oversee the release of multiple applications, ensuring they deliver the expected business value and benefits as outlined.
- Measure and report on project progress against the business cases used for funding, making adjustments as necessary to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Define user stories, create a detailed product backlog, and prioritize development tasks to align with strategic business objectives.
