Laboratory Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lab Technician to join our team. The Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting tests, analyzing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow protocols, and a passion for scientific research and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and maintain lab equipment, ensuring proper calibration and function.
- Collect, label, and process samples accurately while maintaining detailed records.
- Analyze test results, document findings, and report data to supervisors or scientists.
- Ensure all lab activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Troubleshoot basic laboratory equipment issues and escalate problems when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous lab experience preferred (internship, academic, or industry setting).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with lab equipment and basic laboratory techniques.
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, or ISO standards is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Work in a laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals and biological samples.
- Standing for extended periods and handling lab instruments or samples.
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
